    Hummer Sports Park Sherman A. Parks Jr. Field Sherman Parks Jr. was more than just a fine local athlete, he was a member of the board of Topeka Public Schools from 1988 to 1995, serving as its president during 1992-93. His leadership is credited with bringing interscholastic baseball back to the Topeka Public Schools after the programs had disappeared in the late 50s.

    Hummer overhead logo football Topeka High School grads from the 1920s to the 1960s are quite familiar with "Buck" Weaver and D.L. "Heavy" Erwin – famed educators and coaches who left indelible marks on their students. The two were contemporaries, first as coach and athlete, later as administrator and coach. They were good friends and their names will be forever linked as two of the greatest influences on Topeka sports.

    Hummer Sports Park Soccer Field As soccer gains popularity, Hummer Sports Park has hosted the North Carolina Women's season opener, the Kansas High School Boys' & Girls' State Championships and the National Junior College Athletic Association national and regional soccer championships. Hummer's state-of-the-sport soccer complex with seating for 2,000, AstroPlay surface and press box is the perfect place to enjoy your next match.
    Hummer Sports Park Softball Field When it comes to the best amateur softball, Topeka has historically ranked as one of the leading centers for the sport in the Midwest. Hummer Sports Park continues to prove there's nothing soft about these able competitors. Fast pitch, fast paced and always a spectator favorite - Hummer's softball season is the best there is. Come on out!
  • Capitol Federal Natatorium at Hummer Sports Park
    Hummer Sports Park Capital Federal Natatorium Swimming Pool The Capitol Federal Natatorium swimming facility is our crown jewel. A heated, 50-meter Olympic-size pool with a movable bulkhead (2 pools in one with a dual scoreboard) and seating for 1,000 avid swim fans – it doesn't get any better than this. Add an exercise facility, a 4-lane warm-up/cool-down pool, 2 restroom/changing rooms and a competitive scoring/timing area and you have it all. Jump in!

    Hummer Sports Park Track & Field Hummer Sports Park has everything on an Olympic hopefuls' dream list including an 8-lane polyurethane track with Lynx timing, steeple chase, shot put, discuss, javelin, hammer, pole vault and long, high and triple jump facilities. (Whew!) Seating for 6000 cheering fans, dual team locker rooms with showers, training rooms and coach offices – there is no better place to experience track & field. Come on out and enjoy!
